Impressions written by a visitor to His Heart

On my last Sunday in Baguio I had the opportunity to go the first gathering of a new house church. It was located in a squatter   area where Angela had been seeking a breakthrough. The house itself was something like the huts I used to build as a boy. I could not stand up inside and it was tiny. One wall was just thin cloth. Furthermore it was perched on the edge of a steep bank. Later I said to Angela we should get some old sheets of iron for that wall before the rainy season. It turns out that the iron on the roof was borrowed and had to be returned for the rainy season!! His Heart will make it possible to make this little house dryer for the coming season.

The women who had invited us was very shy and she and her family extremely poor. Angela asked her if she would share her “story”. Haltingly at first, and with tears, she shared a very sad story and as she did, neighbours arrived. The little house was packed  and children were outside. The newcomers shared their stories and the presence of God filled the place. There was love, hope, worship, healing of 2 arthritic ankles and the offer of a neighbouring bigger house for these new Christians to meet.

God is so good.

Easter Sunday Celebration

On Easter Sunday a number of the His heart Churches gathered together for a celebration service, lunch together and then a time fellowship.

As I arrived at the building that has become something of a base for His Heart, there was a hive of activity. In the kitchen area women were preparing food for lunch. Huge big cauldron like pans filled with rice and pork ….enough to feed several hundred people. These same women  only a year or so ago had not experienced the love of God. It is truly amazing to see the coming together of so many new believers, each one with a remarkable story of the love of Jesus. Tragic lives being transformed.

I have been in ministry for over 30 years and what is happening with His Heart in Baguio is the most authentic and fruitful expression of God’s love I have witnessed.

Healings -

One of our street kids got hit by a car and had injured his upper back and shoulder. Being a street kid, a hospital visit is not an option unless someone helps.

Well, someone did! Jesus! Our interns prayed for this young boy and he said that all the pain had completely gone. Jesus instantly touched Him and poured his love on Him. Yay God! This is just one story of many that God is writing here...

Last Thursday in one of our house churches three people testified that they were healed.  One lady had very bad pain from a stomach ulcer which she had had no money to treat.  It was so sore she couldn’t do the usual “shout” to the neighbours on our arrival.  She testified that her pain had completely gone.  Another woman, during worship began to proclaim that Jesus was her healer and He came and touched her neck and removed pain.  A 10 year old girl, was home from school sick but came to house church for prayer for stomach pains.  We prayed tenderly for her and after we finished we noticed she was crying.  God touched her body removing the pain and also touched her heart.  Thank you Jesus!

Yesterday, one lady was testifying how much change had happened in their squatter community since we began ministering there.  We are so encouraged.  God is so good, turning our little loaves and fish into something far bigger and greater.

On Sunday, we took the youth treasure hunting.  It was quite difficult as there were so many people everywhere (it was a holiday weekend) and looking for the treasure was like sensory overload.  Nevertheless, I received this txt that night from a 14 year old girl "Mam becks im so very hapy dis day cuze i found dat person w/ GOD want 2 be touch.Do u know dat at 1st i fel nervus but GOD made me brave so I THANK GOD.Gud nigt" :)

Since coming to Jesus my children are no longer sick
On Thursday house church, one of the ladies shared that her children used to get sick all the time.  Sometimes she would have all four of them in the hospital at once. But since she has started to know Jesus, and come to house church, none of her kids have been sick. :)

Treasure Hunting
People are God's treasure. A few weeks ago, before feeding people on the street, our team went on a treasure hunt - looking for people that God wanted to show His goodness and love to. Immediately when we got out of the car, was a girl who fitted three of the clues we had.  We spoke with her and Helen our intern prayed for her.  Afterwards she was so stunned.  She said “that was goooooood, what must I do?” A lady with knee pain came to me for prayer.  One of our clues was “knees” and so I knew God wanted to touch her that day.  A group of multi-religion debaters were in the area and so I asked one to translate for me as I released healing.  Haha!  He was so excited and impacted by God’s love as he watched the lady testing her knee and declaring the pain had gone.  Another lady was healed of pain in her ankle.  Thank you Jesus! There is no need to debate with words when we can demonstrate the pure gospel...love and power.  

Holy Spirit touched me
Just now, (after a time of ministry) I felt the Holy Spirit come so deep in my heart, that I just could not control my tears.  The only words I can say is "Thank you" but its not enough.  

Making things right
A mother shared, "Before the baptism, there were many bad words spoken, even in my jeepney as we were driving there.  I felt bad inside and so I went to the person and I said sorry to her even though I was hurt.  When I came up out of the water, all those feelings disappeared and my old ways are behind me."

A new creation
One lady shared that before she was baptized it was like she was reminded of every bad thing in her life she had ever done. She told us how she had hoped that when she went under the water that all those things would be left behind and she could start new, for herself and for her family.  Smiling through tears, she said that after she was baptized she felt so peaceful inside and all she wanted to do was sleep.  She felt like the sin and old ways of life were completely gone and she had perfect peace.  One of her daughters is a His Heart Sponsored Child and she is changing before our eyes also.  She has become hungry for God and is sensitive to His presence.  Thank you Jesus! 

Lumps in neck disappear
A lady came to our meetings with a severely swollen jaw and neck and many lumps. She had this condition for a good number of months. She was undergoing tests but could not afford all that was needed. Several times we laid hands on her and prayed for her healing. I saw her last week and she pointed out that she has no more lumps and testified that God healed her. Thank you Jesus!

People come to Jesus on the street
Street church this morning was fantastic. Paige shared on how our prayers are powerful and we began to minister to each other. A man who was drunk broke into tears as he felt God's love for him. He surrended his life to Jesus. I prayed for a person who had asthma and Jesus healed him. Then I sat with a 17 year old there for the first time. He had run away from home and had been living on the street since January. As God's love poured out upon him he also ran to Jesus. Yay God! He is awesome!

At worship time, I felt the presence of God. It was awesome. I was shaking and I just felt electric things going up my body.
God healed me of asthma. I felt quite good praying for people. God thank you for giving me courage and strength.
This camp Ive been touched by God's power. I saw'd some vision about God. It was fun.
My shoulder got healed! God showed me that even children can cause miracles. I wanted the healing anointing and God gave it to me. I got visions from God. God helped heal someone.
I was on the floor laughing for an hour. It was fun. I prayed for someone and now they don't need glasses.
He has helped me forgive a lot of people that I had hatred or anger towards.
God made this camp fun. He healed heaps of people. He looked after us. God talked to us through colours and paintings.
God healed my friend because he had a sore foot. He changed my life because I just used to stand there but he made me worship. My favourite part was when we praised and worshipped.
What God did for me is given me treasure, shown me to love my family that hates me and to forgive them and have faith more in everything I do.
This weekend, God helped me to grow more in the spirit and to get more courage. God healed me. God showed me my very first vision
I have experience the Holy Spirit, how it felt like and how powerful it is.
God touched my heart and made me be with him more. He made me meet two beautiful friends. He also made me have a great time and I enjoyed myself. I healed a little boys shoulder and I'm really proud of myself and God. Also, God talked to me which was great.
It was good for me to come to this nice camp. I felt the Spirit in me and I had to forgive some people. Thank you for helping me go. This God is love.
I felt his presence and his love. It was amazing.
I experienced angels, heaven and Jesus in imaginations and in visions. When I closed my eyes I saw light and a cross. I also felt God touch me and I smelt what He is like.
I felt his love and it felt strong. Its the first time I prayed and prayed. I saw a lot of clouds as we prayed. I got to know my friends better. I sang and sang and felt that God was with me. People that I didn't know prayed for me.
I got to know God better.
I enjoyed the prophetic art workshop and praise and worship. My encounter with the Lord brought me back to that special place with Him.
This weekend I felt Gods love poured out in a miraculous way. He says he wants no more fear, but everyone everywhere to know that He loves them. I felt God's presence in a way I have not felt before. It was a wonderful feeling.
I came to camp expecting, but I've got more than I ever expected. At camp I also had some visions. One of this such visions was a picture of God's warriors praying. As they prayed a volcano erupted. The lava from this volcano flowed everywhere and wherever it went it brought revival. Thank you God!


Tender moments with street kids
This morning in the park with the street people was special. We had taken breakfast, but first Kent led us in a time of loving each other. We washed each others feet. Then we worshipped. This time was different from others because at the end all the boys just sat silently stunned. The presence of God was there. Kent asked if anyone wanted to share and one 13-14 year old boy said this "I can't explain it, but as I was singing I felt so good, and I felt my old character coming back". We asked what his old character was and he said "it is kind, helpful and good". His smile was from ear to ear as he realized that God was touching him. :) Thank you Jesus!

Today, a woman who had pain from stomach ulcers and no money for medicine was healed! Yay God! You are awesome!

11 year old girl sees Jesus
I asked her all she had experienced one day last week and this is what she said. She was in a meeting with adults and God began to move. People were crying and laughing and worshipping. She was worshipping God and then the lady beside her fell down because of the power of God. She started to pray for her. As she was praying, Jesus came to her. He had brown hair and white clothes, but she didn't see His face. He came inside her. She could not describe how that felt, only to smile so widely and say OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH. :) She kept praying and then strange words started to come out of her mouth. She was speaking in tongues and continued to lay hands on the lady, who in turn began to speak in tongues. Thank you Jesus!

Young boy sees Jesus
The day before at our bible school he was sobbing and sobbing during the ministry time. The next day I asked him why he was crying. He said he couldn't believe that God could love him so much even while he was still a sinner. He said the Holy Spirit spoke to him and told him that the trials he was going through would make him stronger. This boy is from a poor family and trials are almost a part of every day, so I asked him which trials he was meaning. He told me that his father does not like him to come to our meetings because there is alot of work that needs to be done around the house, and he had to fight to get there. But felt like God was going to use him in his family.
On Sunday, his Dad came to our service!!! Thank you Jesus!

During the same service this boy also was sobbing and sobbing. On asking him what was happening he said that he too, couldn't believe the depth of God's love for him and he wants to give him everything and wants everything from God. And then as he was thinking those things, "God blessed me and I saw Jesus". He was almost crying as he remembered this encounter with Jesus!
God is so awesome!

Tonight my knee was healed! I have had a lot of pain for months. Especially in the afternoons it was hard to walk. Now I have no more pain and I know Jesus loves me. Thank you Jesus!
